I would like to say ‘thank you!’ for your help and advice recently. 

 I was told by a friend of mine that Dr.Hauschka done the best skincare products, so I thought I would give it a go. I went onto the Dr.Hauschka website, and decided that I would buy some testers just to see how my skin liked it before I brought the full size products (as I have wasted so much money on other skincare products, only to find they made my skin very oily and sensitive), but then remembered that Lola was only a short walk from where I work, so I came to your lovely shop instead of ordering from the Internet.

I had my list ready, and knew exactly what I wanted……………however, you asked why I wanted these and then told me what you thought would work better for me. I was a little reluctant, as I said I have oily skin and you gave me the tester of the ‘Normalising Day Oil’, to me putting oil on oily skin seemed a little weird, but you are the expert so I applied all the testers you gave me, exactly as you advised the next morning, and was amazed that these products left my skin feeling clean, moisturised and feeling lovely, and not at all oily!. So far, all these products have exceeded my expectations and I will be coming back very soon to buy the full sized products. 

 I would also like to add, that I brought a Lavender bath foam from ‘The Jersey Cow Company’ range and was amazed to find that, unlike all other bath products I have tried, this left my normally very sensitive skin very moisturised with no nasty reaction. I will be buying this one again!  

You have given me so much more than I would have got from any website, I received a warm and friendly welcome in to your shop, great advice and a fantastic service. Thank you!

I visited Lola last year following a year of experiencing problematic skin. I had a very stressful period in my life and developed what I would consider adult acne along both sides of my mouth and patches on my cheeks. I used this as an excuse to invest heavily into a ‘designer brand’ (dermologica) which despite a ‘facial mapping’ session made the situation worse. I then proceeded to buy a course of microdermabraision, out of pure desperation. All this cost me hundreds of pounds.  By chance, I popped into Lola in Harpenden and was approached by Caroline with whom I proceeded to discuss my desperation. She moved me away from the ‘next’ skincare brand I was looking at and explained how Dr Hauschka could work for me and how I needed to use natural products. She was so confident that she suggested I borrow her testers (Cleansing Milk, Cleansing Cream, Facial Toner and Lavender Bath).  I was really over whelmed with the personal touch and that she would trust me (as a new customer) to return them, which I duly did. Caroline also taught me the whole routine and how to roll my hands over my skin to get the best from the products, she also directed me to the website should I need to see the videos  for more clarity and gain any more information.  I was so delighted with the results and enjoyed the routine (including the fantastic aromas!) so much that I instantly stopped my course of microdermabrasion. I can honestly say that my skin has not been better. Where my pores were clogged under my chin I am now ‘lumps and bumps’ free. My skin is so soft and smooth that I can’t stop touching it! I am spot free and when I do get the occasional one, I know not to panic and that the range will sort it out in a matter of days (I also know it because I may have been lazy with the hand roll techniques!). I am now so confident with my skin, that I have moved my makeup regime to a simple tinted moisturiser, instead of a thick foundation and concealer.  I am now a loyal user of Dr Hauschka and Lola and would happily recommend the range to any one (and often do).  I see every purchase as a treat and look forward to using the range both night and day. It looks great in my bathroom too!

I visited Lola following a recommendation, as I suffer with eczema.  I went to see Caroline and she spent time explaining the theory behind the Dr.Hauschka approach, the benefits and the differences to other skin care regimes.  Caroline then took me through how to apply the products, explaining that initially my skin may go through a ‘crisis’ as it becomes accustomed to the way in which Dr.Hauschka encourages the skin to behave, so I was completely aware of what to expect.  I was given some trial sizes to try, to ensure that I was happy with the results before purchasing the products.  This was particularly reassuring as I have previously bought products that have aggravated my eczema leaving me with products I am unable to use.  Caroline and Dr.Hauschka have been great and would recommend them both!.

Lola is a one stop shop where presents are concerned. I never fail to find something for a friend, my daughter or my step daughters.  Caroline’s helpful but non-pushy approach to advice is always welcome and the shop always smells Gorgeous!

Like most guys, I shrink from visiting “girly” shops, especially anything to do with skincare. However, needs must, and forced into buying a present for the Mrs, I slunk into Lola. Couldn’t have done better! Fab service from Caroline, really helpful and non-patronising, bearing in mind my ignorance on such matters. Better again, the prices were lower than I had expected, and the prezzie was beautifully wrapped. I shall return, as the Mrs is very impressed, so thanks to Lola for getting me brownie points! Thoroughly recommended.

Although I don’t live in Harpenden I always enjoy a visit to Lola for present buying. Men are notoriously bad at buying skincare products but I find the attentive, helpful and genuinely interested service second to none. Caroline has done wonders with the shop – I only wish I could pop in more often. A memorable and delightful shopping experience.

I am pleased to write a review for Lola. I went to Lola on the recommendation of my Wife’s friend to buy her an anniversary present. The staff were very helpful and without being pushy helped me select a present which my Wife loved. I will be going back for her Christmas present! Oh and they gift wrapped it for me too! Double result!

I have only discovered Lola recently and it is now a ‘must’ when I visit Harpenden. This tiny shop which I nearly missed has the answer to all my present needs and whilst there I also was given excellent advice on my skincare regeime. It’s definitely worth the walk for the range of products and the excellent customer service which I have not received anywhere else!

I was in Harpenden last saturday looking (in a panic) for a birthday present for my brother. Fortunately I passed Lola in the High Street. I went in and explained my predicament. The staff could not have been more helpful and charming and suggested an after-shave from the REN range and an Italian soap (recently stocked in the shop).

A niece of mine is expecting a baby any minute and I shall return to Lola to buy something from their new baby skincare range. All-in-all a very successful morning and a shop well worth visiting.

This is a lovely shop with a great range of products. Itʼs so nice to be able to buy REN and Dr Hauschka in Harpenden. The staff are really friendly and thereʼs no pressure to buy – do go in and have a look!
